A month of Phalguna in a Hindi calendar is a month of probably the most colorful festival in the world. The Holi Festival. I have decided to experience the festival in the best possible location – in Jaipur, the city that holds the main celebrations. On a day before the Festival, a flame is brought from the temple and people start huge bonfires on the streets. They lid them one from another with the fire from the temple.

I celebrated together with the Hindi on the streets of Jaipur. At first, I felt uncomfortable among the small, local communities. For my hosts, I was someone different, they have treated me as an attraction. They were happy with my presence and my visit was important and good for them. They were sharing with me their joy from celebrating this colourful festival, that is so different from ours.
